 An Act relative to appliance efficiency standards.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Section 2 of chapter 25B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition is hereby amended by striking out the definitions of “F40T12 lamp” and “F96T12” and inserting in place thereof the following definition:-

 

“T8 lamp” a tubular fluorescent lamp that is straight or u-tube.  A straight T8 lamp is a nominal 60 or 100 watt lamp with a 24, 36, 48, 60 and 96 inch tube length and 1 inch in diameter.  A u-tube T8 lamp is a nominal 60 or 100 watt lamp with a 6 inch or 3 5/8 inch leg spacing and a 22 inch length.

 

SECTION 2.  Section 3 of said chapter 25B as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out in line 15 the following:-  “F40T12 and F96T12 lamps” and inserting in place thereof the following:- T8 lamp
