In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act enhancing the Cultural Facilities Fund.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Subsection 42(b)(1) of chapter 23G of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the words “Municipally owned buildings, structures or sites must be a minimum of 50,000 square feet in size, of which at least 50 per cent is used as a cultural facility” the following language:

 

“unless said municipally owned building is one hundred and fifty years old or more and significant in the history, archeology, architecture or culture of the nation, the commonwealth or said community, in which case it may be of any size.”

 

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
