In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act celebrating racial harmony, diversity and tolerance.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general law to the contrary, state route 28 from south street in the town of Stoneham to the Reading town line, shall hereby be designated Equality Road as a celebration of equality, racial harmony, diversity and tolerance.  The department of highways shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing such designation in compliance with the standards of said department.
