In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of section 8 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the first sentence the following sentence:— If the applicant is under 21 years of age, he shall complete the driver education and training course required under clause (c) of the second paragraph prior to being issued a license.
SECTION 2. Section 8B of said chapter 90, as amended by chapter 428 of the acts of 2006, is hereby further amended by inserting after the third paragraph the following paragraph:—
If the applicant is under 21 years of age, he shall complete the classroom instruction portion of the driver education and training course required under clause (c) of the second paragraph of section 8 prior to taking the examination.
