Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 8 of Chapter 90, of the General Law as appearing in the tercentennial edition is
hereby amended as follows:
By replacing “eighteen years of age” with “twenty-one years of age” in the first and second paragraphs.
By replacing the word “minor” in the first sentence of the second paragraph with the word “person”.
By replacing “attained the age of 16 and one-half years;” in subparagraph B of the second paragraph with “attained the age of eighteen years;”.
By striking “during the first six months of licensure” from the first sentence of the third paragraph and striking the last sentence of the third paragraph.
By striking “holding a junior operator’s license” from the fifth paragraph and replacing it with “under eighteen years of age”.
By striking “The registrar may exempt a person licensed under the provisions of” and “as defined in section seven of chapter four” from the first sentence of the sixth paragraph, and inserting “shall not apply” after the word “operation”, and by striking the remainder of the sixth paragraph following the first sentence.
