In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act permitting parking in handicapped spaces by certain persons. .

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

 

SECTION 1. Section 22A of chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:–

                Certified orientation and mobility specialists while transporting students who are blind or visually impaired may park in areas reserved for the parking of vehicles owned and driven by disabled veterans or handicapped persons.

SECTION 2.    Section 46 of chapter 161 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:–

            Any rules or regulations providing for handicapped parking spaces shall permit the use of such spaces by certified orientation and mobility specialists when they are transporting students who are blind or visually impaired in the same manner and under the same conditions as handicapped persons.
