In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act providing for an organ donor license plate.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section 2 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as most recently amended by section 234 of chapter 151 of the acts of 1996, is hereby further amended by adding the following paragraph:—
The registrar shall furnish at his office, at no cost to all residents of the commonwealth who have registered as organ donors, whose license to operate bears such designation and who check-off the organ transplant fund on their Massachusetts income tax form, plates bearing a red heart for attachment to motor vehicles owned solely or in part by such residents.
