An Act relative to the purchase of vehicles by cities and towns. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding and general or special law, or regulation to the contrary, public works departments and cities and towns may utilize so-called “Chapter 90” funds allocated by the Commonwealth for the purchase of vehicles weighing no less than 9,000 pounds, provided that such vehicles are used for common construction and road maintenance functions by the city, town or department.
