 An Act relative to a freeze on toll rates.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Section 4 sub-paragraph (i) of Chapter 81A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 44 and 45, the words “to fix and revise from time to time and charge and collect tolls for transit over the turnpike” inserting in place thereof the following:— to charge and collect tolls for transit over the turnpike; said tolls shall be fixed at the rates in place on December 31, 2001;

SECTION 2.   Section 4 sub-paragraph (i) of Chapter 81A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 44 and 45, the words “to fix and revise from time to time and charge and collect tolls for transit over the metropolitan highway system;” and inserting in place thereof the following:— to charge and collect tolls for transit over the metropolitan highway system; said tolls shall be fixed at the rates in place on December 31, 2001;
