In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act to create a toll discount program for residents of communities adjoining the Massachusetts Turnpike.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Section 10 of Chapter 81A of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following new subsection:

 

(c) Any person operating a private passenger vehicle using the Fast Lane toll collection system which is registered in any city or town which has within its boundaries a portion of the Massachusetts Turnpike other than that contained in the Metropolitan Highway System shall be entitled to a discount of fifty percent of any toll due and payable on the Massachusetts Turnpike other than tolls due and payable on the Metropolitan Highway System.
