In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

——————

 

 An Act authorizing reimbursement to the town of Easton for veterans' benefits expended in past years.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

  Notwithstanding any provisions of  Mass. Gen. Laws or of the Code of

 

Massachusetts Regulations, the Town of Easton Veterans’ Services Department is hereby

 

authorized to receive reimbursement in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifteen

 

Thousand Six Hundred Twelve ($115,612.00) Dollars from the Commonwealth of

 

Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services for veterans’ benefits expended by the

 

town during fiscal years 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999.  The reimbursement amount equals

 

seventy-five (75%) percent of the approved veterans’ benefits expended during said fiscal

 

years, which totaled One Hundred Fifty-four Thousand One Hundred Forty-nine and

 

03/100 ($154,149.03) Dollars.

 

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
