In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to homeowners' insurance.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Chapter 175 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 193U the following section:-

 

Section 193V.  No homeowners policy so-called shall be cancelled or the premium increased solely because the insured makes a claim unless the insurer can establish that the damage was a result of the negligence of the insured.
