An Act relative to the statute of limitations for the crime of rape. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 63 of chapter 277 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2000 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “offenses” in line 7 the following:— provided, however, if a DNA sample, as defined in section 1 of chapter 22E, of the perpetrator is collected and stored an indictment may be found and filed at any time.
