In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to day care facilities

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

Section l0B of chapter 28A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following 2 paragraphs:- 

 

                Any day care facility shall provide the following information upon entering a child in the facility:

               

(a)                  copies of any licensing report that documents a facility visit by the state department of social service or a substantiated  complaint investigation;

 

(b)                  copies of any documents pertaining to a complaint investigation which finds an immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care; or

 

(c)                  copies of any licensing report received in the previous 12 months and a summary of any accusations until the accusation is either dismissed or resolved.

 

Child care resource and referral agencies shall inform every person who requests a referral of the right of accessing licensing information and public files.
