 Resolve to study lottery distribution

 

    Resolved,

 

 

 

 

RESOLVED, That a special commission, consisting of 3 members of the house of representatives, including the chair of the house committee on ways and means or his designee, 3 members of the senate, including the chair of the senate committee on ways and means or his designee, the state treasurer or his designee, the secretary of administration and finance or his designee, and the executive director of the state lottery commission, is hereby established for the purpose of making an investigation and study of the current lottery distribution formula, specifically to determine and insure that towns and cities which support the state lottery at the highest level are receiving higher levels of the lottery distribution, Said commission shall report to the general court the results of its investigation and study, and its recommendations, if any, together with drafts of legislation necessary to carry such recommendations into effect by filing the same with the clerk of the house of representatives on or before the first Wednesday in November 2007.
