In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to pension benefits for Maria K. Judge.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary the state retirement board shall retire Maria K. Judge, an assistant district attorney in Norfolk county, who, as a result of catastrophic brain injuries is totally and permanently injured and unable to perform the essential duties of her job and the inability is likely to be permanent and she should be so retired.

Section 2. The annual amount of pension payable to said Maria K. Judge shall be equal to the regular annual rate of compensation which would have been paid had she continued in service as an assistant district attorney at the grade held by her at the time of her retirement.

The retirement shall become effective commencing on the date immediately following the final day for which she received regular compensation for such employment.
