In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act relative to the licensure of health plans.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  The second paragraph of Section 14 of Chapter 176G of the General Laws as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:— A license granted to a health maintenance organization pursuant to this section shall be renewed every two years.

 

SECTION 2.  The second paragraph of Section 14 (18) of Chapter 176G of the General Laws as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition is hereby amended by striking out second sentence of the second paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:— The fee for such renewal, in an amount determined by the commissioner, shall be no less than $1,000.
