 An Act Authorizing City of Fall River Retirement Board to Increase the Pension Payable to Dennis O'Neil

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the retirement board of the city of Fall River shall increase the pension payable to Dennis O’Neil, a retired police officer in the police department of the city, who as a result of injuries sustained by him is totally disabled for further service as a police officer. The annual amount of pension payable to Dennis O’Neil under the provisions of this act shall be fixed at an amount equal to 72% of the regular rate of compensation he was receiving at the time of his retirement. All cost of living adjustments passed since his retirement, will be adjusted at this 72% rate of compensation, as well as other cost of living adjustments.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
