 An Act authorizing Jeffrey J. Giles to take the civil service examination for police officer in the city of Gardner notwithstanding the minimum age requirement

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary regulating the minimum age of applicants for appointment as police officers,  Jeffrey J. Giles of the city of Gardner shall be eligible to take the next civil service examination for appointment to the position of police officer, provided however that he meets all other requirements in which case he shall  be eligible for certification and appointment by the appointing authority to the police department of the city of Gardner.

 

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
