In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act authorizing the city of New Bedford to enact and enforce ordinances pertaining to the regulation or prohibition of the use of motorized bicycles and motorized scooters on public ways within said city's limits.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 1B & 1E of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, the City of New Bedford shall have the authority to enact and enforce ordinances pertaining to the regulation or prohibition of the use of motorized bicycles and motorized scooters on public ways within said city’s limits.

SECTION 2.       This act shall take effect upon its passage.
