I am filing for your consideration a
bill entitled “An Act Extending Certain Capital Spending Authorizations.”
This legislation recommends the
continuation of certain capital spending authorizations. These authorizations
will otherwise expire on June 30, 2007, or upon passage of this bill. The
continuation of these items is necessary in order to fund ongoing or proposed
capital projects of the Commonwealth.

An
Act EXTENDING
CERTAIN CAPITAL SPENDING AUTHORIZATIONS.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled,
and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. To provide for the continued
availability of certain bond funded spending authorizations which otherwise
would expire on June 30, 2007, or would expire upon the passage of this act as
provided in section 2 of chapter 124 of the acts of 2006, the balances of the
following appropriation items and any allocations thereof are hereby extended
through June 30, 2008, for the purposes of and subject to the conditions stated
for these items in the original authorizations and any amendments to those
authorizations.
