An Act relative to the conservation commission of the town of West Stockbridge

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the board of selectmen of the town of West Stockbridge shall appoint two associate members ofto the West Stockbridge Conservation Commission for terms of not less than 3 years.

SECTION 2. The chairman of the West Stockbridge Conservation Commission may designate any such associate member to sit on the commission only in the case of absence, inability to act or conflict of interest on the part of any member thereof, or in the event of a vacancy on the commission, until said vacancy is filled by the board of selectmen pursuant to section 8C of chapter 40 of the General Laws.
