In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

 An Act authorizing the division of capital asset management and maintenance to convey certain land in the city of Lawrence

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. The commissioner of the division of capital asset management and maintenance, notwithstanding sections 40F to 40J, inclusive, of chapter 7 of the General Laws, shall convey by deed to the city of Lawrence, for nominal consideration, a certain parcel of state-owned land, formerly the Essex north district registry of deeds and located at 381 Common Street in the city of Lawrence, for use by the town for municipal or any other public purpose.  The parcel is described in Book 111, Page 7, located in the Essex North District Registry of Deeds, and further shown on Lawrence assessors map 146 and lot 26.  The exact boundaries of the parcel described above shall be determined by the commissioner after completion of a survey.

SECTION 2. The city of Lawrence shall pay for the costs of the appraisal, survey, and deed preparation for the conveyance of the property authorized by this act, as deemed necessary by the commission of the division of capital asset management and maintenance.
