 An Act authorizing the city of Brockton to convey certain park land.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. The City of Brockton, acting by and through its mayor and city Council, may convey two contiguous parcels of vacant land located in said city to the Brockton Housing Authority for the construction of affordable housing. Consideration paid for each parcel shall be $10,000.00.  The first parcel of land, being plots 2 & 2-2 Sheppard Street on City of Brockton Assessor’s Map 86 contains 8,851 square feet more or less. The second parcel of land, being plot 48-2 Tribou Street on City of Brockton Assessor’s Map 86 contains 6,616 square feet more or less.  Being the same premises taken by the City of Brockton from Carl E. Forsberg and Charles E. Johnson for Park Purposes on September 13, 1976 and recorded with the Plymouth County Registry of Deeds, Book 4208, Page 172.

                SECTION 2. The grantee shall assume the costs of all appraisals studies, surveys and other expenses related to the conveyance of the city’s land referenced in section 1 of this act.

                SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
