An Act exempting the positions of police chief and fire chief in the town of North Andover from the civil service law

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The positions of police chief and fire chief in the town of North Andover shall be exempt from chapter 31 of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. Section 1 of this act shall not impair the civil service status of any person holding the position of police chief or fire chief in the town of North Andover on the effective date of this act.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
