An Act relative to the sons of William Hayhurst, a deceased firefighter from the city of Boston. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the sons of William Hayhurst, a deceased firefighter in the City of Boston, shall be eligible for original appointment to the Boston Fire Department and shall be considered survivors pursuant to Section 26 of Chapter 31 of the Massachusetts General Laws. In order to have their names so certified, said descendants must first pass the written and physical examinations required of all candidates for entrance to the fire service.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
