IN THE YEAR TWO THOUSAND SEVEN.

An Act ESTABLISHING COMMERCIAL FISHING SECTORS.

   Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to forthwith provide funds for commercial fishing sectors, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

   Item 2300-0100 of section 2 of chapter 139 of the acts of 2006 is hereby amended by inserting after the words “in fiscal years 2006 and 2007” the following words:—  ; provided further, that not less than $500,000 shall be provided to the Northeast Seafood Coalition for the purpose of establishing commercial fishing sectors.
