In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

An Act relative to retirement benefits for an employee in the city of Northampton.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

                Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary and in order to promote the public good, the city of Northampton retirement board shall credit Duane Robinson with creditable service, for the period from January 1971 to January 2007, inclusive for the purpose of determining his superannuation retirement allowance pursuant to paragraph (a) of subdivision (2) of section 5 of chapter 32 of the General Laws provided, however, that before the date any retirement allowance becomes effective for him, he shall pay into the annuity saving fund of the city of Northampton retirement fund in 1 sum upon such terms and conditions as the board may prescribe an amount equal to that which would have been withheld as regular deductions from his regular compensation for such previous service, plus interest.
