In the Year Two Thousand and Seven.

An Act making an appropriation for the Fiscal Year 2008 to provide supplemental funding for veterans energy assistance program.

 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is immediately to make appropriations for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2007, and to make certain changes in law, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

 

        Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

 

SECTION 1. Section 2A of chapter 174 of the acts of 2007 is hereby amended by adding the following item:—

 

7004-1001       For a one-time state supplement to provide for veterans benefits authorized in paragraph 8 of section 5 of chapter 115 of the General Laws................................................................... $3,900,000.
