Be it enacted by the Senate and House
of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the
same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The second paragraph of section 8A of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the first sentence the following 2 sentences:-
All original applicants for a registry of motor vehicles school bus driver’s license or a department of telecommunications and energy driver’s license when used to drive school pupils to an from school shall have first satisfactorily completed a basic course in first aid as approved by the registrar. Upon completion of the course the individual shall be covered by the provisions of section 55A of chapter 71.
