An Act relative to the charter of the town of Braintree

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Subsection (F) of section 9-5 of Article 9 of chapter 189 of the acts of 2005 is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:

Until such other time as a salary is established for the office of mayor, under section 3-1(C), the initial salary for the mayor of Braintree shall be established as the same sum which is provided at the top level of the pay grade for the position of executive secretary on December 31, 2007.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
