 An Act relative to Controlled Substances

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

AN ACT  Relative to Controlled Substances

 

                Be it enacted by the Senate and the House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

 

SECTION 1.  Subsection (a) of Class B of Section 31 of Chapter 94C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, shall be amended by inserting the following item:

 

(9) Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa), or any salt, compound, derivative, or preparation of kratom, and any salt, compound, derivative, or preparation thereof which is chemically equivalent or identical with kratom

 

SECTION 2. Subsection (e) of Class C of Section 31 of Chapter 94C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, shall be amended by inserting the following items: 

 

(16) Salvia Divinorum

(17) Salvinorin A

(18) Catha Edulis

 

SECTION 3.  Subsection (12) of the definition of “Drug paraphernalia” under Section 1 of Chapter 94C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, shall be amended by adding the following items:

 

(p) blunt wrappers

(q) rose bud smoking pipes
