IN THE YEAR TWO THOUSAND EIGHT.

An Act  RELATIVE TO THE CENTRAL ARTERY AND STATEWIDE ROAD AND BRIDGE INFRASTRUCTURE FUND.

   Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide forthwith for certain payments from the central artery and statewide road and bridge infrastructure fund, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public safety.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

   Section 63 of chapter 10 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out the fifth and sixth paragraphs and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-

At the direction of the secretary of the executive office of administration and finance, the comptroller shall make payments from the fund established pursuant to this section, without further appropriation, for the purposes specified in this section.
