 An Act authorizing the town of Braintree to impose a local excise tax

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Braintree may impose the local excise tax pursuant to section 3A of chapter 64G of General Laws at a rate not to exceed 7 percent on the total amount of rent for each such occupancy.
