In the Year Two Thousand and Eight.

 An Act Placing Certain Questions on the Ballot of the November 2008 Presidential Election.

 

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1.   Notwithstanding section 42C of chapter 54 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the town clerk of the town of Palmer shall print on the ballot for the November 2008 Presidential Election 2 questions to the voters, as approved by the vote of the Palmer town council at its regularly scheduled meeting on November 13, 2007, and reading substantially as follows:-

 

Question 1:   Shall a commission be elected to revise the charter of the town of Palmer, MA? 

 

If question 1 is in the affirmative, then question 2 shall be as follows

 

Question 2:   Charter Commission (vote for 9) followed by a list of candidates.

 

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
