 An Act relative to blood donation

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

An Act relative to blood donation by minors.

 

Section 1.  Chapter 111 of the General Laws is amended by striking out Section 184C, as appearing in the 2007 Official Edition, and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

SECTION 184C

 

“A minor 17 years of age or older may donate his blood without the prior assent thereto by his parent or guardian.  A minor 16 years of age or older may donate his blood with the prior assent thereto by his parent or guardian.”
