 An Act authorizing the town of Sudbury to use certain insurance or recovery proceeds.

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF SUDBURY TO USE CERTAIN INSURANCE OR RECOVERY PROCEEDS. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


SECTION 1.           Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the

 

contrary, the funds received by the town of Sudbury as insurance proceeds from town insurance policies or funds received based upon liability for injury to a police officer or firefighter by a third party where the  police officer or firefighter is entitled to compensation under section 111F of chapter 41 of the General Laws,  shall be placed in the salary and overtime accounts of the respective department without deposit into the general fund, and shall not require further appropriation by the town.

SECTION 2.           This act shall take effect upon its passage.
