In the Year Two Thousand and Eight.

An Act authorizing the appointment of Michael P. Hickey as a Police Officer in the town of Hingham.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The personnel administrator of the division of human resources shall certify Michael P. Hickey to be eligible for original appointment to the position of police officer in the town of Hingham according to the grade he received on the examination for police officer, notwithstanding the maximum age requirement for the position.  If Michael P. Hickey meets all other requirements for certification as police officer, the town of Hingham may appoint him.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
