An Act Authorizing the Expansion of the Adams Fire District

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Motion – The District submit to the General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts the following:

PETITION OF THE ADAMS FIRE DISTRICT

TO THE GENERAL COURT

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE EXPANSION OF THE ADAMS FIRE DISTRICT

The Adams Fire District as originally created by act of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Chapter 197 of the Acts and Resolves of 1873 and subsequently amended by the following Acts: 

Chapter 79 of Acts of 1881; Chapter 69 of Acts of 1882; Chapter 222 of Acts of 1892 (the act which among other things changed the District name from South Adams Fire District to Adams Fire District); Chapter 485 of the Acts of 1895; Chapter 292 of the Acts of 1896; shall be further amended as follows:

1.             All territory of the Town of Adams shall be and hereby is annexed into the Adams Fire District.

2.             This act shall take effect upon its passage.

CERTIFICATION

The undersigned, being the Secretary of the Adams Fire District, hereby certifies that at a duly called meeting of the Adams Fire District Prudential Committee the above vote with all of the members of the Prudential Committee voting was adopted by vote of three in favor and none opposed.
