In the Year Two Thousand and Eight.

 An Act establish a sick leave bank for Mary Mercurio, an employee of the Department of Social Services

 

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


 

SECTION 1:  Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the Department of Social Services shall establish a sick leave bank for Mary Mercurio, an employee of twenty-three years of said department.  Any employee of said department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more of his/her sick, personal or vacation days to said sick leave bank for use by said Mary Mercurio.  Whenever said Mary Mercurio terminates employment with said department or requests to dissolve said sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.
