An act authorizing certain persons to take the Civil Service examination for appointment as a police officer in the town of Arlington notwithstanding age |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary regulating the maximum age of an applicant for appointment as a police officer. Tara R. Diab of the town Arlington shall be eligible to take the next open, competitive examination for appointment to the position of police officer in the town of Arlington and if she meets all other equipments shall be eligible for certification and appointment to such position.
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary regulating the maximum age of an applicant for appointment to the position of police officer Matthew Silva of the town of Arlington shall be eligible to take the next open, competitive examination for appointment as a police officer in the town of Arlington and if he meets all other requirements shall be eligible for certification and appointment to such position.
SECTION 3. Notwithstanding chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary regulating the maximum age of an application for appointment to the position of police officer Thomas Wesley of the town of Arlington shall be eligible to take the next open, competitive examination for appointment as a police officer in the town of Arlington and if he meets all other requirements shall be eligible for certification and appointment to such position.
Section 2. This act shall expire as of December 31, 2010.
Section 3. This act shall be take effect upon its passage.
