An Act RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF VEHICLES BY CITIES AND TOWNS

Be it enacted by the Senate and House
of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the
same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Subparagraph (a) of paragraph (2) of section 34 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
Cities and towns and their public works departments may utilize funds allocated hereunder for the purchase of vehicles weighing no less than 9,000 pounds, provided that such vehicles are used for common construction and road maintenance functions by the city, town or department.
