An Act Establishing a Sick Leave Bank for Deborah A. Jones, An Employee of the Department of Mental Retardation |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR DEBORAH A. JONES, AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL RETARDATION.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately establish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of mental retardation, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of mental retardation shall establish a sick leave bank for Deborah A. Jones, an employee of the department of mental retardation. Any employee of said department of mental retardation may voluntarily contribute 1 or more of his sick, personal or vacation days to said sick leave bank for use by said Deborah A. Jones. Upon such time as said Deborah A. Jones terminates with said department of mental retardation or requests to dissolve said sick leave bank, the balance of sick leave shall be transferred to the department of mental retardation paid leave bank.
