In the Year Two Thousand and Eight.

An Act relative to the positions of treasurer and tax collector in the town of Becket.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 2 of Chapter 662 of the Acts and Resolves of 1989 as amended in Chapter 158 of the Acts and Resolves of 1996 is hereby amended by striking out in line 11 the words “(h) treasurer” and in line 12 the words “(i) tax collector.”

SECTION 2.  Section 4 of Chapter 662 of the Acts and Resolves of 1989 as amended in Chapter 158 of the Acts and Resolves of 1996 is hereby amended by inserting after “(u) special committees” the following:

(w)treasurer, for a term of 3 years

(x) tax collector, for a term of 3 years

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon passage.
