AN ACT relative to the assessment of state-owned land

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 13 of chapter 58 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, beginning in line one, the following:- “In nineteen hundred and seventy-five and every fifth year thereafter, the commissioner shall, on or before June first, determine as of January first the fair cash value as hereinafter provided:” and inserting in its place:- “The commissioner shall, on or before June first, determine as of January first the fair cash value, as determined pursuant to section 51 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, “ and by striking out beginning in line twenty-eight the following:- “To assist in making such determination the commissioner may require oral or written information from any officer or agent of the commonwealth or of any county or town therein and from any other inhabitant thereof, and may require such information to be on oath. Such officers, agents and persons, so far as able, shall furnish the commissioner with the required information in such form as he may indicate, within fifteen days after being so requested by him.”

Section 2. Section 14 of chapter 58 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official edition, is hereby stricken.
