AN ACT authorizing the town of Rehoboth to issue a license for the sale of alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on the premises

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, the licensing authority of the town of Rehoboth may issue to Azevedo’s Mini Mart, Ltd., 537 Winthrop Street in said town, a license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on the premises under section 15 of said chapter 138.  Said license shall be subject to all of said chapter 138 except section 17.  The licensing authority shall not approve transfer of the license to any other location.  Upon issuance of said license Azevedo’s Mini Mart, Ltd. Shall return to the town the license for the sale of wine and malt beverage it holds now.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
