Court for legislation relative to making corrections and
improvements to the customized wheelchair consumer
protection law. Consumer Protection and Professional
Licensure. |
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Subdivision (A) of section 107 of chapter 93 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2002 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "shall", in line 49, the following word:- not.
SECTION 2. Subdivision (B) of said section 107 of said chapter 93 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the first sentence the following new sentence:- Such express warranty shall include, but not be limited to, a written warranty that the customized wheelchair shall be free from any condition or defect which substantially impairs the use, value, or safety of the customized wheelchair.
SECTION 3. Subdivision (D) of said section 107 of said chapter 93 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 156, the words secretary of the executive" and inserting in place thereof the words:- director of the.
SECTION 4. Said subdivision (D) of said section 107 of said chapter 93 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 160, the words "regulations established by the attorney general" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- such regulations.
SECTION 5. Subdivision (F) of said section 107 of said chapter 93 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the word "twice", in line 169, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- up to three but not less than two times.
