AN ACT to permanently extend daylight savings time

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 4, Section 10 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 1998 official edition, is hereby amended by striking the first sentence thereof, and inserting therein the following new sentence: -

At two o’clock ante-meridian of the last Sunday in April during the year two thousand and nine the standard time in this commonwealth shall be advanced one hour, so that the standard time in the commonwealth shall be one hour in advance of the United States Eastern Standard Time.
