Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 38G of chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “program.”, in line 76, the following sentence:- Notwithstanding the clause (2), an applicant for provisional educator who is otherwise qualified may be temporarily certified as a provisional educator for a period of up to 3 years without taking the test, but shall take and pass the test before the expiration of the 3 year period.
