AN ACT relative to out-of-state price authorization for chapter 766 students

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the division of purchase services of the department of procurement which, pursuant to section 274 of chapter 110 of the Acts of 1993, is responsible for determining prices for programs under chapter 71B of the General Laws, shall upon the request of a program, authorize a minimum price for the program to charge out-of-state purchasers. Said price shall be determined in the following manner: Said division shall identify the most recent price calculated for the program and apply the estimated rates of inflation which are established by December first of each year pursuant to section 274 of chapter 110 of the Acts of 1993 in a compounded manner for each fiscal year following the most recent calculated price.
